Wellbeing Day 2 - Highlights

Wellbeing Day Respect

Respect: Strength in Kindness

Our recent Wellbeing Day, themed 鈥淩espect: Strength in Kindness,鈥 was a vibrant celebration of community and connection. Students participated in a diverse range of activities designed to support and enhance their wellbeing. From arts and crafts, sport and movement, and cooking, to sessions focused on cultural understanding and building social connection, the day offered something for everyone. These workshops were thoughtfully led by both OAC staff and external providers, showcasing the strength of our wider community partnerships.

A parent session was also held, focusing on how to support neurodivergent learners, providing valuable insights and practical strategies to strengthen the connection between school and home.

At lunchtime, the bake sale was a sweet success, with delicious goods made by both staff and students flying off the tables. Proceeds went to charities close to the hearts of the OAC community, highlighting the generous spirit of our school.

Adding some sizzle to the day, our executive leadership team took up the BBQ tongs in support of the Vinnies CEO Sleepout, raising awareness and funds for people experiencing homelessness.

The event was met with overwhelmingly positive feedback from students, with heartfelt comments like 鈥淓verything was perfect.鈥 Their words are a true reflection of the day鈥檚 impact and a reminder of the power of kindness, respect, and community.

Watch the video below to relive the highlights and great activities that took place.
